Columbia Sportswear names Gaylord to lead Mountain Hardwear brand

Columbia Sportswear names brand executive

PORTLAND, Ore. — Clothing maker Columbia Sportswear Co. said it named an executive to lead its Mountain Hardwear subsidiary.

Topher Gaylord, 40, replaces Kirk Richardson, the brand’s interim president.

Most recently, Gaylord lead the 7 For All Mankind brand at VF Corp., a company for which he’s worked since 1993 when he joined the company’s The North Face brand.

Mountain Hardwear is based in Richmond, Calif. Columbia is headquartered in Portland, Ore.

Columbia shares rose 40 cents to $46.23 in late-afternoon trading.
