LONDON - Clare Latimer, the Downing Street caterer, says she was informed of Gordon Brown’s ill behaviour by one of the staff members at No 10.

Latimer reveals she was cornered by one of Gordon Brown’s desperate officials at a No 10 reception for the British Stammering Association.

“When I was leaving, a member of staff rushed up to me and grabbed me aside,” the Telegrapher quoted her, as saying.

Latimer went on: “They told me the atmosphere at No 10 was absolutely appalling and they were desperate for an election.

“It has stuck in my mind: this person definitely wanted me to go and tell somebody. It was obviously a cry for help; they wanted to get word out. I haven’t gone around saying ‘what’s it like to work here?’ It is just shocking.”

She adds: “Gordon Brown is a man who wasn’t elected and he was too frightened to call an election because he probably wouldn’t win.”

Latimer’s company Clare’s Kitchen has been providing catering for government functions for 25 years. (ANI)
