Reader’s Digest UK’s days may be numbered

LONDON - Reader’s Digest appears to have its days numbered after it went into administration in the UK.
The publishing company’s US parent group, Reader’s Digest Association (RDA), and the UK Pensions Regulator are said to have landed in a dispute over the payment of 125 million pound deficit in its UK pension fund.
The British publisher said the future of operations remained uncertain as an agreement was not reached.
BBC correspondent Nick Higham said: “In many cases its readers have been, quite literally, dying off, and nobody has been replacing them.
“And the underlying business, like lots of other magazines has struggled, as people bought fewer of them as they migrated to the Internet. That has made life very difficult.” (ANI)
