LONDON - The wife of the terrorist mastermind of a plot to attack passenger jets prayed he would become a suicide bomber, a court here has heard.
Cossor Ali, 28, wrote in her diary how she was desperate for husband Abdullah Ahmed Ali to kill himself for his cause. She even recorded her wish to be pregnant with a son by the time he was dead, reports The Sun.
A jury was told that Ali stated: “I am growing more and more attached to the cause for which you are striving. I hope and pray Allah grants your wish and gives you the highest level of Shahada (martyrdom).”
Ahmed Ali, also 28, and two other men were convicted last year of the murder plot that involved using liquid explosives disguised as soft drinks to blow up planes.
She and Ahmed Ali married in July 2003 and shared a one bedroom flat in Walthamstow, East London. (ANI)
