Former lovers ‘inspire’ Martin Amis’ new racy novel

LONDON - Women who have been linked to author Martin Amis are seemingly wary after he revealed his forthcoming book ‘The Pregnant Widow’ is “blindingly autobiographical.”
The novel is expected to provide detailed account of sexual encounters during a summer holiday.
“I’m sure Martin will draw inspiration from some of his former girlfriends,” the Telegraph quoted biographer Julie Kavanagh as saying.
She added: “Though I suspect he will also use aspects of other women who are not part of his life.”
She lived with Amis for a year until she learnt he was cheating on her with her best friend, Miss Soames.
Also, Emma Soames, granddaughter of Sir Winston Churchill, is worried if she has anything “to fear” from the novel.
She said: “I think anybody who goes out with a writer knows that they draw on their life for their work, but I’ll wait until I’ve read it before I say anything else.”
Amis has written in the introduction: “Everything that follows is true…the girls are all true, and the boys are all true. Not even the names have been changed. Why bother? To protect the innocent? There were no innocent.”
Other high-profile women linked to Amis include, former Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown, writer Claire Tomalin and Victoria Rothschild, daughter of Baron Rothschild. (ANI)
