Queen’s cruise trip plays party pooper for other holidaymakers

LONDON - Holidaymakers have been left frowning after their cruise trips were scrapped in favour of Queen Elizabeth II’s bookings on the liner to the Western Isles.
The Queen, along with other members of the Royal Family, was said to have booked a 300,000 pound two-week cruise on a luxurious, 30-cabin vessel.
Her reservation led All Leisure Group, the company that owns the cruiser, to cancel the bookings made by other vacationers for the same fortnight.
“Customers are being compensated generously and have been offered other dates,” the Mirror quoted the company as saying.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “Any holidays that the Queen takes are a private matter.” (ANI)
