LONDON - In a bid to thwart full-face veil ban in Egypt, some of the female students wore surgical masks in exams at Cairo University.
According to an Egyptian newspaper, the government had put a ban on females wearing full-face veils.
Mohamed Saleh, dean of the Faculty of Science, monitored exam rooms and told supervisors to withhold exam papers from any women who wore the veil.
However, he allowed the surgical masks in the examination hall, reports The Scotsman. (ANI)
