Disruption diverts 2nd Hawaii-bound flight this week; man accused of harassing woman removed

2nd Hawaii-bound flight diverted over disruption
HONOLULU — For the second time this week, a Hawaii-bound flight had to change course because of an onboard disruption.
The Hawaiian Airlines flight was diverted to Los Angeles after a man was accused of harassing a woman.
A company spokesman says the man was removed from the jet that departed Las Vegas early Friday.
Los Angeles airport police Sgt. Jim Holcomb says the man was interviewed and released after the woman declined to press charges. Holcomb did not know the exact nature of the disruption or if the passengers knew each other.
The flight resumed to Honolulu and arrived three hours late.
On Wednesday, a Maui-bound flight from Portland, Ore., was turned around and escorted by military jets because of a disruptive passenger.
