LONDON - More and more families in Britain will return to growing their own food over the next 10 years in the aftermath of recession, it has been predicted.

According to the Future Of Food report, commissioned by the supermarket chain Sainsbury’s, rising food prices along with concern over waste and the environment will send people to return to traditional home cooking.

“As a supermarket we have to respond to what our customers want,” the Daily Express quoted a Sainsbury’s spokesman as saying.

“The 140 years since Sainsbury’s came into existence and developed from a local shop to one of the country’s biggest retailers has seen massive changes,” the spokesman added. (ANI)
