Brits bitten by the basmati rice bug
By ANIMonday, December 28, 2009
LONDON - Brits are trying out new groceries and experimenting with international cuisines more than they did ten years ago, a survey has revealed.
According to the study for Morrisons, customers at grocery stores now prefer buying chilli sauce, basmati rice and balsamic vinegar to traditional items like pickle, long-grain rice and malt vinegar, reports the Scotsman.
About 60 percent of the meals prepared after Christmas are expected to be spiced up with chilli sauce than pickle and a quarter of leftover turkey will be served with hummus instead of coleslaw. (ANI)
