French students demand right to wear raunchy clothes!

LONDON - Students in France are protesting against the ban put by educators, barring them from wearing provocative clothes in school.
As many as 200 students at Lycée Geoffroy-Saint-Hilaire in Essonne, south of Paris, revolted against a new dress code, which prohibited them from putting on low-slung trousers, short garments or piercings.
“We’re at school, we don’t want to feel like we are in a prison,” the Independent quoted one student as saying.
Léa Dedieu convinced 300 of the 2,100 students to step on the school premises in revealing shorts or mini-skirts for the girls and Bermuda shorts for the boys as part of the protest.
The 17-year-old said the retaliation was to make a point about freedom and not to “draw attention to ourselves”.
Other schools were said to be handling the matter differently, with François-Xavier-Boca, the head of Lycée Saint-Joseph in Reims, handing out a pair of braces to any male student wearing low-slung trousers.
Girls at Lycée Saint-Jean-Hulst in Versailles were also reportedly given plain overalls to wear if they turned up in short garments.
Meanwhile, students at Geoffroy- Saint-Hilaire are continuing to raise their voice against clothing regulations.
They have allegedly threatened to stage a “day of kissing” after hearing rumours that the head may ban all contact between couples on the school grounds. (ANI)
