MIRAMSHAH - Amid increasing US pressure on Pakistan to act swiftly against terrorist sanctuaries in its tribal areas along the Afghan border, the local Taliban council has declared that the militants will move into Afghanistan if the army launches an operation in North Waziristan.

MIRAMSHAH - The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the attack on an oil depot close to Islamabad in which at least six people were killed and 27 NATO tankers were set on fire.

MIRAMSHAH - At least 14 militants were killed in a US drone strike in North Waziristan, Pakistan, the third in less than 24 hours.

MIRAMSHAH/PESHAWAR - A US drone strike has killed seven more people, including some suspect terrorists, and has left four others wounded, at Maizer village in North Waziristan.
