WASHINGTON - An airman killed in Laos in 1968 will be honored Tuesday with the nation's highest military award for valor.
VIENTIANE - Visiting Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil on Monday said that bilateral trade between India and Laos was currently quite modest, and therefore, there was a need to address this aspect of ties on a priority basis.
VIENTIANE - Business chambers of India and Laos on Monday signed four agreements to boost bilateral trade ties between the two countries after visiting President Pratibha Devisingh Patil addressed a meeting of captains of industry, comprising representatives of India and Laos.
LUANG PRABANG - Visiting Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil today visited Luang Prabang, the ancient capital of Laos and one of the important historical sites since ancient times, showcasing the deep cultural bond between the two countries.
VIENTIANE - Hailing the economic growth of Laos and its investor friendly policies, visiting Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil on Friday said that as the fourth largest economy in the world in terms of purchasing power parity and one of the fastest growing economies, India is eager to expand commercially in this country.
