Qureshi telephones Krishna, conveys felicitations on Republic Day

NEW DELHI - Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi telephoned External Affairs Minister S.M Krishna today to convey his felicitations on the eve of India’s Republic Day and the duo had a brief exchange of views on bilateral relations.
They hoped the outcome of forthcoming meeting between the Foreign Secretaries of India and Pakistan in Thimpu, would be positive Krishna reiterated his invitation to Qureshi to visit India at a mutually convenient date, to carry forward the dialogue.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi stated that he looked forward to visiting New Delhi, and thanked Krishna for his letter of condolences on the assassination of Governor Salman Taseer of Punjab (Pakistan).
The External Affairs Minister said that it was a tragic incident and once again conveyed his deep sympathies to members of the bereaved family, says Ministry of External Affairs. (ANI)
