NEW YORK - The position for the secretary of US President Barack Obama is now available as his current secretary Julianna Smoot plans to move on.
Smoot is planning to head to Chicago to help run the President’s re-election campaign, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The Obama administration is looking for someone who can be there by 7:30 in the morning and stay until after the last visitors leave, reports the New York Daily News.
The social secretary is also expected to put on functions from bill signings to state dinners and work with people all over the administration.
Before being hired at the 150,000 dollars-a-year job, she worked as the finance director for the President’s 2008 campaign and most recently had been the chief of staff to U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk. (ANI)
