WASHINGTON - A restaurant in Tucson, Ariz., that has been selling tacos made from alligator, rattlesnake and kangaroo is now including lion meat to its menu.
Boca Tacos y Tequila says it is accepting prepaid orders by February 7 for African lion tacos, which will be served from February 16, Fox News reported.
Owner Bryan Mazon says there are already a few reservations from curious customers.
According to the Arizona Daily Star, most of Boca’s exotic tacos range between 3 and 4 dollars. The lion tacos will cost 8.75 dollars apiece.
Mazon says his restaurant started offering exotic tacos on its menu every Wednesday about six months ago and has tried “just about anything we can get our hands on”.
The Food and Drug Administration says lion and other game meat can be sold as long as the species isn’t endangered. (ANI)
