KARACHI - Benazir Bhutto assassination plot was not hatched at any Brigadier house, and the media should refrain from any such news that spreads wrong impression, Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said.
Talking to media persons at the Karachi airport on Friday, Malik said the news that a plot to assassinate former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was hatched at a Brigadier House was baseless, and that such plotting were made at terrorists’ houses.
Commenting on the assassination inquiry report, he said it was neither presented in the PPP Central Executive Council, nor handed over to anyone, including President Asif Ali Zardari, The Nation reports.
Earlier this week, Malik had said the investigations into Benazir’s assassination had been completed, and would be presented in the PPP meeting.
“The investigation report is with the joint investigation team and it will be presented in the next meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the party,” he was quoted, as saying. (ANI)
