‘Naked Chef’ Jamie Oliver says his wife’s food is ‘hideous’

NEW YORK - In an interview, ‘Naked Chef’ Jamie Oliver has called his wife’s food “hideous.”

Talking with the BBC’s Radio 5 Live, Oliver, 35, said his wife Juliette Norton’s culinary skills were nothing short of “hideous.”

“I can’t tell my Mrs. what to do,” Oliver said, according to London’s Daily Mail.

“She’s not interested if I see her chopping dodgily… [the reason why] our relationship works is because she doesn’t see me as any kind of expert at cooking or anything like that.”

Despite his wife’s questionable prowess at the cutting board, Oliver said their 10-year marriage is a strong one though, he admitted with continuing candor, not without its rough spots.

“There’s a natural sort of tempo to having a relationship,” he explained, “and it’s not brilliant all the time but it goes through lovely cycles.”

Oliver, who has four children with Juliette, a former model, said he’s come to accept the natural ebb and flow of the union.

“I just think marriage is comedy really,” the New York Daily News quoted him as saying.

“It’s absolute comedy, to love someone so dearly but also despise them at the same time…. We sometimes burst out laughing because we can’t stand each other at that moment in time,” he added. (ANI)
