Iran executes PMOI party member over ‘enemy of God’ charges

TEHRAN - Iran has reportedly executed Ali Saremi, a member of the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI) party on Tuesday morning over a Mohareb (an enemy of God) charges.
According to Xinhua, Saremi was accused of being a ‘Mohareb’ and spreading propaganda against the Islamic Republic.
He was arrested in 2007 on charges of persistently engaging in activities against the Iran, engaging in activities in support of the PMOI, and also dispatching reports of the party, the report said.
Iranian security had reportedly seized a number of CDs, films, photos and hand-written documents of PMOI from Saremi’s house.
PMOI is a religious leftist organization that advocates the overthrow of the Islamic Republic. The United States has designated the PMOI a terrorist organization. (ANI)
