CWG scam: CBI grills Kalmadi aides Bhanot, Bhore

NEW DELHI - Carrying forward its probe into the several scams surrounding the 2010 Commonwealth Games (CWG), the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday questioned Organizing Committee (OC) chairman Suresh Kalmadi’s key aide Lalit Bhanot and political advisor Manoj Bhore.
According to reports, the investigating agency’s questions to Bhanot is likely to throw some light on details about Kalmadi’s role in bungling of funds.he investigating agency also grilled Bhure in connection with the case involving UK-based A M Films.
The CBI last Friday conducted raids at Kalmadi’s home and offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Pune, as part of its ongoing investigations into the multi-crore sporting extravaganza.
The raids were conducted in the wake of reports that some crucial documents related to Commonwealth Games deals have gone missing. (ANI)
