Indo-Myanmar ‘Home Secretary Level’ talks to be held in New Delhi

NEW DELHI - The sixteenth ‘Home Secretary Level’ talks between India and Myanmar would be held from December 27 to 30 in New Delhi.

Home Secretary G. K. Pillai would lead the Indian delegation and the visiting delegation would be led by Myanmar Deputy Minister for Home Affairs U. Phone Swi.

Home Secretary is likely to raise concern on activities of Indian Insurgent Groups operating along India-Myanmar border and request action against them by Government of Union of Myanmar.

Issues relating to strengthening of Intelligence Sharing Mechanism between the two countries, Arms Smuggling, Drug Trafficking, Border Management, Border Trade would also be discussed at the proposed meeting. (ANI)
