MELBOURNE - An Indian-origin neurosurgeon accused of murdering two prostitutes has admitted to the manslaughter of one, who died after cocaine-fuelled sex sessions at his Sydney home.

Suresh Surendranath Nair, 42, was charged with murdering Suellen Domingues-Zaupa, but the crown accepted his guilty plea to the less serious offence, News.com.au reported.

The crown also accepted his guilty plea to a charge of supplying cocaine to the other prostitute, Victoria McIntyre, over whom he originally faced a manslaughter charge.

Nair further admitted to supplying a prohibited drug in January, when he broke his bail conditions by being found with cocaine in the company of two naked escorts.

At Nair’s committal hearing in the Downing Centre Local Court, magistrate Carolyn Barkell was told of his guilty pleas, and she committed him for sentence in the NSW District Court on February 4 and formally refused bail. (ANI)
