Manmohan Singh asks Pakistan to stop exporting terror

BURARI - The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, on Monday said friendly relations with Pakistan is possible only when it stops anti-India activities on its soil.

Addressing the Congress plenary session at Burari in northwest Delhi, Dr. Singh said: “We want friendly relations with Pakistan but this can happen only when it ensures that its territory is not used for terror activities against us”.

“We have had tense relations with Pakistan, but we wish them well,” he added.

On relations with other countries he said: “We have either finalised or about to finalised economic cooperation with various East Asian countries.

He also stressed upon the need by cooperation within the south Asian countries to eradicate poverty.” (ANI)
