NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Indian Air Force (IAF) got a major impetus earlier this week when it received the delivery of the first batch of the C-130J military transport aircraft from United States. IAF officials have reiterated that the state-of-the-arty aircrafts would be deployed along the outskirts of New Delhi to reduce the response time in case of a situation similar to what the nation faced during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The C-130J Super Hercules airlifters which have been designed for special operations, has the capability of air-to-air re-fueling as well as a distinct type of self-protection system that increases the probability of survival in case of any kind of hostility.
Experts have reiterated that the addition of the C-130J military transport aircraft made by U.S. aerospace and defense giant Lockheed Martin would herald a new era in accentuating the air power of India. While talking about the brand new well-equipped aircrafts, Lorraine Martin who is the vice-president for the C-130 Programs of the U.S. defense giant emphasized that the delivery of the first batch of C-130J planes marks the beginning of a glorious partnership with India, which has the fourth largest air force all across the globe.

The rest of the five C-130J is likely to be delivered to the Indian Air Force next year.
