BHOPAL - In a bid to decrease the mortality rate of fishes during the winter season, the authorities have installed a unique heating system in the aquariums at the Fish House in Bhopal.
Several automatic heaters are installed to protect fish from the chilly winter season.
The heaters maintain a suitable temperature of 26 degree Celsius, which is comfortable for a fish.
“These are automatic heaters and maintain a fixed temperature of 24-28 degree Celsius. The heaters automatically get switched off as the temperature increases in the water,” said Pradeep Shrivastava, a fishery officer.
The visitors at the Fish House were surprised to see the heaters installed inside the aquariums.
“I was very surprised to see the water heaters. To install heaters for fish is really surprising because human beings do not value animal life so much. But I was very happy to see the heaters,” said Poornima Sharma, a visitor.
The Fish House has over 66 species of fishes including the black angel, copper gold fish, gold fish and several others. by Ram Chandra Sahu(ANI)
