Magnetic bras could spell end for tricky hooks

MELBOURNE - The battle to fasten and unfasten lingerie using those tricky bra hooks seems to have come to an end - thanks to magnets.
A British department store has unveiled a hi-tech line of lingerie that stays on.
Selfridges will soon sell a collection of French lingerie in which the fastenings are replaced with tiny, invisible magnets rather than the traditional hooks, reports News.com.au.
The bra comes with a matching pair of ‘clip-on, clip-off’ panties, which have magnetic strips at the sides.
Created by French designer Laetitia Schlumberger, the ‘Dement’ - French word for ‘insane’ - underwear starts from 165 pounds for a bra and panties set.
“Fumbling to unhook a bra strap can actually be quite a passion killer,” said Helen Attwood, the head lingerie buyer at Selfridges.
“This new magnetic lingerie is the biggest innovation in the underwear market for years. Those moments wasted with the bra fumble can now be put to much better use,” she added.
The new underwear goes on sale at Selfridges stores and online this week. (ANI)
