And with the help of J and K police, when we carried out a search, one small weapon was found from one of the persons and one fake fictitious identity card of election commission was with one of the persons.”

STORY: Police officials arrested two suspected militants on Wednesday (December 15) in Kangra district of India’s northern state of Himachal Pradesh.
Police officials claimed to have recovered a Chinese made pistol and fake identity proofs from the accused militants.
The suspected militants are said to be from India’s northern state of Jammu and Kashmir.
“During ‘naka’ (check post), last night, Kangra police got two persons belonging to J and K (India’s Jammu and Kashmir), and when the police further questioned them, they tried to conceal their names, identity and their addresses. And with the help of J and K police, when we carried out a search, one small weapon was found from one of the persons and one fake fictitious identity card of election commission was with one of the persons,” said Daljeet Singh, Superintendent of Police, Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh.
The militants have been identified as Jameed Ahmed and Gulam Nabi.
According to local reports, one is to be believed commander of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit in Doda district in India’s Jammu and Kashmir.
Further investigations are in the process, the session court has sent them for a police remand for three days.
