Pune Weather: Cold Sweeps City

PUNE, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The city of Pune is experiencing a rather cold winter this year with temperatures dropping to as low as 25 degrees Celsius ensuring that the city dwellers really to have to battle it out with the cold shivers. After the sweltering heat that the city is known for, a few days of cold shivers is not something that the residents are complaining about. On Sunday afternoon, the northerly winds and the cloudy skies further resulted in a dip in the temperatures with the city dwellers are bracing themselves for the chilly weather conditions in the upcoming days as well.
If the cold conditions is not something that you really enjoy and the dip in the mercury leaves you craving for some heat then there is surely some bad news for you as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials have predicted that the Pune weather is likely to remain unchanged in the coming days. The officials of the IMD have reiterated that the maximum temperature prevailing in the city is expected to drop further but the cold spell would not be lasting for long. Nevertheless, on Sunday the minimum temperature stood at 15.7 degrees Celsius which was about six degrees more than the minimum temperature that usually prevails during this time of the year.
In the meanwhile, with the onset of the cold weather conditions in Pune, the city dwellers are taking all the necessary precautions to keep at bay the health ailments such as cold and viral infections that spreads extensively during this season. However, given the fact that chilly weather is quite a rarity in the city, most of the residents are surely enjoying it to the fullest.
