Close Jinnah aide Zuberi passes away

KARACHI - A close aide of Quaid-e-Azam, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, and well known journalist, M.A. Zuberi, passed away on Sunday. He was 90.
According to the Daily Times, Zuberi was suffering from multiple illnesses for years.
Zuberi founded two newspapers, an evening daily The Star and Daily Business Recorder in the mid-60s. He was also the patron-in-chief of a private TV channel.
He was born in Uttar Pradesh on July 2, 1920. He started his career in Delhi in 1945 and was assigned by Jinnah to publish independence edition of a daily on August 14, 1947.
His association with journalism spanned over 65 years.
His funeral will take place on Monday at the Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine here. (ANI)
