His owner, Vince Damiani has announced that the beloved pet, who was just like another family member died in his sleep, a few days after he was diagnosed of cardiac problems. While talking about the deceased animal, owner Vince Damiani said that the whole family was very upset after Prince chunk left them for his heavenly abode. They are not the only people who are upset by Prince Chunk’s demise. According to sources, a short haired cat named Tito, who was Prince Chunk’s best friend is also under deep shock. The animal did not survive for much time after a veterinarian diagnosed him with heart diseases some days back. He was rushed to the vet two weeks ago when his owners found him breathing heavily.
The cat earned fame after the Camden County Animal Shelter found him on the streets of New Jersey in 2008, after his owner had lost him. Camden County Animal Shelter said that the cat weighed 44 pounds which was a world record, as a result of many people had come up to apply for assuming the ownership of the cat. There were as many as 500 applicants. Out of them, the Damianis were the lucky ones. However, the family later on claimed that the animal actually weighs 22 pounds while adding that the organization had over estimated him. Prince Chunk became so famous that he featured on many magazines and appeared on popular shows like “Good Morning America,” ”Live with Regis and Kelly”.
