BERLIN - An exhibition “Hitler and the Germans” in Berlin has turned into a major attraction, drawing more than 100,000 visitors as of the mid-way point of its run, officials said Saturday.
Rudolf Trabold, spokesman for the German Historical Museum, told DPA that the concept of the exhibition had succeeded, with visitors spending up to two hours in intensive contemplation of the subject matter.
The exhibition in the modernistic extension of the museum of architect I.M. Pei documents how Adolf Hitler could draw on the loyalty of average Germans. Some 600 objects and 400 photos are featured.
The exhibition runs through Feb 6, 2011.
