Exhibition to showcase Indian history through miniatures

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM - Delhi’s National Museum will showcase an exhibition of 50 miniature paintings at the first Indian Biodiversity Congress (IBC) to be held here next month, an official said Saturday.
Titled ‘Indian Miniatures through the Ages’, the exhibition will draw from National Museum’s rich archive of Mughal, Deccani, Central Indian, Rajasthani and Pahari miniatures, covering the period from 1000 A.D. to the 18th century.
Beginning Dec 27, the five-day event will be held at the Kerala University campus here.
IBC 2010 is being jointly organised by the Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA), National Biodiversity Authority, Kerala Biodiversity Board, University of Kerala and Navdanya, a network of organic farmers.
