Andhra CM Kiran Reddy in Delhi to discuss state cabinet with Sonia Gandhi

NEW DELHI - Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy arrived in New Delhi on Saturday to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi and other senior party leaders.
Reddy said that he was in the Indian capital to meet Gandhi and thank her for giving him the responsibility of the state.
“Basically, I have come to New Delhi to meet madam Sonia Gandhi and other high command members and convey my thanks to them on the responsibility which they have put on me, and I have come for cabinet consultation with them to try and give a clean and transparent government. That is my agenda for coming here,” said Reddy.
Reddy also said he would be seeking the cooperation of all central government ministries to run the administration in his state.
“My responsibility as a Chief Minister is to take the cooperation of all MLAs (Member of legislative Assembly, or legislators), MLCs (Member of Legislative Council), MPs (Member of Parliament, or lawmakers) and the opposition parties for the development of the state. That is my agenda and I request all the media to cooperate,” said Reddy.
Reddy took over from K. Rosaiah on November 24. Rosiah had resigned from the post citing health reasons. (ANI)
