QUETTA - Those involved in the target killings of teachers, doctors and other professionals in Balochistan are pushing the people of the province towards the Dark Ages, Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani said on Thursday.
“Why is our new generation and youth being deprived of education,” The News quoted Raisani, as saying, while attending a meeting held to review the pace of work of the ongoing developmental projects.
Due to the target killing of teachers in Balochistan, the education sector has been affected badly, and there is a dire need to adopt serious measures in order to compensate for this loss, he said.
Raisani said that those who were involved in such activities will have to be answerable to the nation, and emphasised that the political parties and judicious people of the province should come forward and play their role effectively for the security and growth of teachers.
The chief minister said that it was earnest desire of his government that the youth of Balochistan acquire higher education in order to make progressive development for themselves and the country.
He added that those who were creating hurdles in this regard would have to confront defeat, as such designs would be foiled with the help of the people
Raisani urged the tribal elders, notable and political leaders in Balochistan to help the government in promoting education and discouraging the designs of negative minded people, as this would be a great service for the nation. (ANI)
