NEW DELHI - Describing the JD (U)-BJP combine’s performance in the Bihar polls as “unprecedented”, BJP president Nitin Gadkari said the voters have cast their votes in favour of the good work done by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
“This victory proves that there will be no space for politics of caste in 21st century politics,” he told reporters.
Congratulating party leaders and workers of both the BJP and the JD (U), he said: “It has been proved (by the poll results) once again that how a miracle can happen by working together with unity.”
Senior BJP leader M. Venkaiah Naidu said NDA’s victory in Bihar was for development of the state.
Speaking to reporters, he said the outcome has rejected the argument of Congress leaders that central funds allocated to the state were misused or diverted. (ANI)
