Patil appeals for national integration ahead of Guru Tegh Bahadur death anniversary

ABU DHABI - President Pratibha Devisingh Patil on Tuesday urged the people to take inspiration from the teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur and work unitedly for national integration.
In her message, President Patil, who is on a nine- day visit to the UAE and Syria said: “On the occasion of the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadurji, let us resolve to prove worthy his legacy.”
“May his teachings inspire us to work unitedly to promote the causes of national integration, communal harmony and service to humanity,” she added.
The martyrdom day of the ninth Sikh guru will be observed on Wednesday. By Praful Kumar Singh (ANI)
