DDA to launch Housing Scheme-2010 from Nov.25

NEW DELHI - Delhi Development Authority will be launching the “DDA Housing Scheme, 2010″ from 25th November to 24th December,2010.
Approximately 16,000 flats will be offered under the scheme.
The flats are located all over Delhi in colonies like Vasant Kunj, Mukherjee Nagar, Motia Khan, Jasola, Dwarka, Rohini, Narela, Jaffarabad, Kaundli Gharoli etc.
In order to reach all sections of the society there is a mix of one bed, two bed, three bed room houses expandable and Janta one room tenements/houses . This is for the first time that one room tenements located in Narela, Trilokpuri and Shivaji Enclave have also been included in the scheme.
As per the scheme , any citizen of India who has attained the age of 18 years can apply for the flat provided he/she does not own any residential flat or plot in full or in part on lease hold or free hold basis in Delhi, New Delhi, Delhi Cantonment either in his or her own name or in the name of his/her wife/husband or in the name of minor or dependent children.
In this scheme both husband and wife can apply but only one will be allotted flat in case both are found successful.
One person can submit only one application form. There is no income criteria. The applicant can apply only if he has a valid Pan Card and a bank account.
One of the most important condition, which has been included for the first time, is that all allotment money should be from the bank account of the allottee and certificate to this effect will have to be submitted at the time of possession.
The applicant will have to deposit registration money of Rs. 1.5 lacs, but for Janta one room tenement category /ORT category the registration amount has been reduced to Rs. 50,000.
The cost of the form has been fixed at Rs. 105 and it will be available at various designated branches of the banks. The details of which have been provided in the brochure and will also be uploaded on the website of DDA on November 25.
The documents to be submitted will include self attested copy of PAN card, proof of residence, self attested copy of bank account etc. The reservations for various categories like SC will be 17 percent, ST 7.5 percent, one percent for war widows, one per cent for physically handicapped and one per cent for ex-servicemen.
Proof of the category, under which the person has applied, will have to be submitted along with the application.
DDA has taken all precautions to ensure that the money towards the cost of the flat is deposited by the allottee only and to this effect copy of the pass book along with bank certificates will have to be given at the time of possession and it will also be sent in Income Tax Department by DDA.
The draw will be held within a period of four months from the last date of closure of the scheme and, therefore, no interest will be paid for these four months.
Money will be refunded to unsuccessful applicants at the earliest and in case the money is not refunded within four months time from the closure of the scheme, a simple interest @ 5 percent per annum will be given for the registration money.
The refund as in the earlier scheme will be paid through the banks only. It may be mentioned that the cost of construction of these flats ranges from Rs.1536 to Rs.6069/- per square feet.
The flats located at Vasant Kunj which have been made with higher specifications will attract higher price. The cost for the new scheme flats also includes lumpsum maintenance charges for exteriors and common portions. (ANI)
