NEW YORK - Former Alaska Governor and 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin has said that she is seriously considering a run for the White House, and believes she could beat President Obama in 2012.

“I’m looking at the lay of the land now, and … trying to figure that out, if it’s a good thing for the country, for the discourse, for my family, if it’s a good thing,” Palin told ABC News’ Barbara Walters.

Asked by Walters if she ran for president, could she beat Barack Obama?, Palin replied: “I believe so.”

The Palin interview will be telecast on December 9 at 10 p.m. on “Barbara Walters’ 10 Most Fascinating People”. (ANI)
