First air force job camp held in Chhattisgarh

RAIPUR - Hundreds of youth from all over Chhattisgarh attended the first Indian Air Force (IAF) recruitment drive held in the state Monday.
Youth aged between 16-20 years and with minimum 50 percent marks in their intermediate exam were eligible to apply. Hundreds were seen queuing up at Science College ground here Monday morning, hours before the commencement of written and physical tests for recruitment in the technical branch.
“Recruitment for non-technical grade will be carried out on Thursday at the same venue,” an official said.
Selected candidates will get a monthly stipend of Rs.5,700 during training. On final selection, they will be inducted into the IAF on a monthly salary of Rs.15,062, an IAF statement said.
Candidates selected in the non-technical wing will receive a monthly stipend of Rs.5,700, and a salary of Rs.13,284 on selection, the statement said.
This is the first IAF job camp in the state, and is aimed at increasing youth participation in the Air force, the statement added.
