MELBOURNE - A group of friends were delighted when they won a whopping 128.6 million dollars through a Powerball lottery ticket bought at a Michigan porn shop.
The group claimed their prize on the deadline day.
Before the claim, there were speculations that the winner might be too embarrassed to come forward since the ticket was sold at Highland Park’s Uptown Bookstore, which sells pornographic movies, magazines and sex toys, reports the Detroit News.
Michigan Powerball rules state that winners cannot remain anonymous when they claim their prize but nonetheless, the actual buyer remained unnamed.
The representative for the group, Mike Greer, a 49-year-old who lives in a Detroit suburb, claimed he did not know which of his friends bought the ticket.
He also did not inform how many people were in the prize-sharing group or how they would split the winnings.
“I have no idea why this happened. All I can figure is God had a plan for us,” News.com.au quoted Greer as saying. (ANI)
