LUDHIANA - Designer Charu Parashar showcased unique Punjabi outfits in combination with Pakistani styles at a three-day long fashion extravaganza in Ludhiana.
Bollywood actress Mahi Gill walked the ramp in traditional Indian wear.
“I want famous designers to come up with their unique designs, as Charu Parashar has taken the initiative to showcase her designs here, and we have inaugurated the show. That is the reason I am here as I wanted to contribute to the show, which is taking place in Punjab. I am sure people would love it and would like to see more fashion shows in the future,” said Gill.
Parashar said the fusion of Pakistani and traditional Punjabi designs set her collection apart from other designers.
“In this show, I specially showcased Lahori pants and tried to give a Pakistani touch to my entire collection, which most of the designers do not use. You might have seen a cosmopolitan look in my designs at the beginning of the show. I tried to present old traditional Punjabi attire with new touch,” said Parashar.
The fashion extravaganza would end on November 13. By Karan Kapoor (ANI)
