Campaigning for final phase of Bihar Assembly polls concludes

NEW DELHI - Election campaigning for the fifth and final phase of Bihar State Assembly elections for 35 constituencies concluded here on Sunday evening.
Nearly half of the 35 constituencies spread over the districts of Bhojpur, Patna, Nawada, Gaya, Jehanabad and Nalanda have strong Maoist presence. However, no major incident was reported during the campaign period.
Around 81.26 lakh voters, including 37.35 lakh female, will be eligible to exercise their franchise at 9,143 polling stations to decide the fate of 425 candidates.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission has changed the poll timing in four more constituencies on account of security reasons for the fifth phase.
The revised poll timing in Hilsa, Belaganj and Wazirganj assembly constituencies has been scheduled from 7 am to 4 pm whereas in Atari constituency the voting time will be from 7 am to 3 pm.
Earlier, timing was from 7 am to 5pm. In 12 constituencies poll timing is already from 7 am to 3 pm. (ANI)
