Cold wave sweeps Himachal Prades

KULLU - Cold wave conditions prevailed in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu on Saturday, as the mercury continued to dip.
The town is shivering at a minimum temperature -1 degree Celsius and a maximum of 12 degree Celsius.
Locals were seen trying to warm themselves by sitting next to bonfires at several places in the town.
” It is very cold during the day as well as night-time. Temperature has gone below zero and it is getting very cold during evenings and at night,” said Raju.
According to local media reports, lakes in the upper altitudes of the region have iced over.
The severe cold wave was caused by a snowfall on October 22.
The arterial roads leading to Kullu remained cut off for a few days due to which the normal life got disturbed. (ANI)
