Metro services to close at 8 p.m. today

NEW DELHI - The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that metro services in the national capital will be closed three hours before normal time on the occasion of Diwali.
It has been reported that on the occasion of Diwali, the metro service will start as usual at 6 a.m. and the last Metro train service will start at 8 p.m. from terminal stations of all the six lines.
“The terminal stations are Dilshad Garden, Rithala, Jahangir Puri, Huda City Centre, Noida City Centre, Dwarka Sector-21, Yamuna Bank, Anand Vihar, Inderlok, Mundka, Central Secretariat and Sarita Vihar,” said a DMRC spokesman.
“On account of “Bhai Duj” on Sunday, Delhi Metro will run 33 extra trains which will make as many as 453 additional trips to cater to the festival rush,” he said.
The metro services usually close at 11 p.m. on regular days. (ANI)
