WASHINGTON - Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has slammed a report by Politico and called it “crap”, which claimed that top Republicans wants to stop her from winning the presidential nomination out of a fear that she would lose badly in the general election in 2012.
“I don’t think the paper that we just printed this article on, you know, it’s not worth even wrapping my King Salmon in…I’ll just ignore this crap,” the New York Daily News quoted Palin, as saying.
She has also slammed the report for not naming the sources, calling it “very, very disappointing” and added that “Politico, Mike Allen and Jim VandeHei, they’re jokes,” while referring to the authors of the report. he also fired off an email to the Daily Caller on Monday, mocking Politico’s use of anonymous sources.
“I supposed I could play their immature unprofessional, waste-of-time game to, by claiming these reporters and politicos are homophobe, child-molesting, tax evading, anti-dentite, puppy-kicking, chain smoking porn producers…really, they are…I’ve seen it myself…but I’ll only give you the information off-the-record, on deep, deep background; attribute these ‘facts’ to an anonymous source’ and I’ll give you more,” she added.
According to a report published on Sunday by Politico, key Republicans view a 2012 Palin bid for the White House as a “disaster in waiting.”
“There is a determined, focused establishment effort…to find a candidate we can coalesce around who can beat Sarah Palin. We believe she could get the nomination, but Barack Obama would crush her,” Politico had quoted a GOP leader, as saying.
Palin has been ratcheting up her rhetoric in the past few months, repeatedly offering variations on the theme that she will run against President Obama if another candidate does not emerge, the paper said.
“If there’s nobody else to do it, then of course I would believe that we should do this,” she had said earlier. (ANI)
