BJP blames Congress of being indifferent to corruption
By ANITuesday, November 2, 2010
NEW DELHI - As Congress leadership slammed Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh over the issue of terrorism today, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday hit back at the Congress, asking why the party was not acting on the Adarsh scam allegations and accepting Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan’s resignation.
BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman asked, “Is Congress immune to corruption?”
The BJP also accused the Congress of targeting RSS leaders on terror links as a diversionary tactic.
Earlier in the day, the Congress leaders today went full throttle in attacking the RSS and its sister organisations, accusing them of being involved in terrorism while maintaining the view that the Allahabad High Court’s Ayodhya verdict did not condone the 1992 Babri mosque demolition.
Sonia Gandhi during her speech during the All India Congress Committee session (AICC) today said that the Congress party and the governments led by her party will “forcefully” resist attempts by anyone to abuse religion for political gains.
