Junior level police personnel in Pak Punjab linked to terrorists: Report

LAHORE - A Pakistani intelligence report has revealed that junior level police personnel in Punjab are linked with terrorists.
According to the Daily Times, junior staff of the police department have developed close links with criminals and inform them about any operation beforehand.
It also claimed that the police is well aware of the hideouts of these criminals, but is reluctant to initiate an operation against them.
The report also said that kidnappings for ransom in the province have increased to an alarming level.
It said that terrorists and criminals are planning to abduct some prominent traders from Punjab, including transporters from Rahim Yar Khan district.
Around 22 people have been abducted from Rahim Yar Khan district in the past 15 days. (ANI)
