GOP praises Obama on handling of parcel bomb plot

WASHINGTON - Republicans have praised the Obama administration’s handling of the bomb plot uncovered late last week, but indicated that bipartisanship would have its limits.
On CBS’s “Face the Nation, the top Republican on the House Committee on Homeland Security, Peter King, commended administration officials.
“The administration handled it perfectly. I give them full credit,” the New York Daily News quoted King, as saying.
Senator Amy Klobuchar (Democrat-Minnesota) said there was a chance of Democrats and Republicans agreeing on important issues in the next two years.I do, because I think that is what the American people want right now,” said Klobuchar.
Klobuchar said that President Barack Obama stood ready to work with Republicans on issues such as education reform, but King indicated that the common ground might not be so large.
King said that if Republicans are fortunate enough to win the House, their reign might be brief if they compromise with Obama on spending. (ANI)
