Abu Dhabi, Oct 31 (IANS/WAM) Abu Dhabi has revamped 25 historical buildings in Al Ain city as part of its project to preserve the architectural heritage of the Emirates.

The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) announced the completion of the first phase of its programme, which covered the historic buildings which were originally built with mud or stone.

The project includes setting up fences around the sites, strengthening walls, installing temporary roofs, and reforming clay bricks and cracks.

With the end of the first phase, more than 25 historically important sites in the city of Al Ain were completed.

The Department of Conservation has already began the second phase of the restoration work which is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
