“The work that we started five years back we will continue it. We wish to continue our programmes of justice and development. The state government that comes to power this time vows to raise the development standard of Bihar,” he added.

Conditions of roads would be improved further and by 2015 all villages having a population of 500 would be linked by roads. Additional 22.15 lakh hectares of farm land would get irrigation facilities, he said.
“We will have our own food security system for the below the poverty line families left by the Centre. The Centre has identified only 65 lakh families as BPL, while our reports say there are 1.5 crore such families,” he added.
Kumar further slammed the Central Government for not supporting and implementing federal welfare schemes in the state.
“They say that our state is less advanced, but when schemes like Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana have to be implemented then the central agency fails to complete its duty on time and they say are state is underdeveloped,” he said .
“Now when the state agency wants to implement the scheme then central government is not allocating them funds. They don’t provide us with coal linkages and then they say electricity is not being generated here. This is like talking according to ones convenience,” he added.
The six-phase polls for 243 seats begins from October 21 and concludes on November 20.
Counting of votes will take place on November 24. (ANI)
